Thrombosis work-up at SMSL includes D-dimer for acute exclusion pathways, and a comprehensive thrombophilia panel when indicated: Factor V Leiden (R506Q) and Prothrombin G20210A genotyping, Protein C, Protein S, Antithrombin activity/antigen, homocysteine, and antiphospholipid antibodies (aCL, anti-β2GPI, lupus anticoagulant). For unusual site thromboses, JAK2 V617F and related testing may be added.
